Return Policy

If your product gets damaged in the mail or during manufacturing, we will get you a replacement product or possibly a refund. All refunds are made on a case by case basis. If a product has been kept longer than 21 days after delivery it may not be returned. We cannot guarantee an item arriving by a specific date, holiday, or occasion and are not responsible for it arriving by that date. We also are not responsible for items that are accidentally ordered and now unwanted. Spelling errors on products made by the customer cannot be returned. Due to the global pandemic our entire industry is grappling with challenges and we’re seeing delays in our supply chain, including distributors and shipping carriers. Our fulfillment times will be longer than usual and may continue to increase until things get back to normal.

Daily Order Cutoff Time & Cancellations

All orders on our site are reviewed by the customer and are final. All customers may request an order change by 11 PM Pacific time on the day the order is made. Order cancellation must be requested within 24 hours of order creation. If your order has already been printed or shipped, your order will not be available to be canceled. Please email us at or contact us here via our online form to request an order change or cancellation within 24 hours.


We offer a frame service with all of our moon and star prints and some times the availability and stock can run low or out of stock. Please be aware that all frames sold are final sale and non-refundable unless they are damaged in the mail or manufacture. In these select cases, we will send you a replacement frame at no cost to you.

Agreement between you and The Moon Joy

The operation and management of The Moon Joy is conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms condition and notices herein (the “Terms of Service”). Your Electronic Footprint with The Moon Joy

Browsing, using our contact form or sending emails or the like (i.e.Facebook Page messages) to The Moon Joy will result in some form of electronic footprint with us and to your consent to use this to receive electronic communications. Also you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosers and other communications that we provide to you electronically, via email and on the Site, satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

The Moon Joy does not deliberately gather, either online or offline, personal information from minors (persons under the age of thirteen). If you are under 18, you may use only with permission of a parent or guardian.

Accuracy in calculating the moon and the stars

  1. Our moon phase calculator and product calculator pages are run by a calculated percentage of the moon which may not always show the exact percentage of the moon on your day. Our software tries to be the most exact it can but there may be times that the image or percentage will be off by a few percentage points but we guarantee the moon will be in it’s correct phase on your special date.
  2. Our star map poster product is not a live preview of your day. We use up to date sky chart and map data from various US and European space agencies to generate and deliver your map of the stars. You can check our prints for accuracy with planetarium software like We use the most up to date sky map charts to make the stars match from your nights sky.

Refund and Cancellation 

It is our goal to make our customers happy and satisfied. We want to share in our customers unique moments of love and joy and make exceptions wherever possible to make a great experience a possibility for our customers.

  1. Generally and once an order is placed, we create, and fulfill it within 14-28 business days. Our products are manufactured in the United States and Europe so there are times you may receive quicker delivery. There will be times with elements out of our control if a customer provides incorrect delivery information in the order creation process. In these rare cases, we can’t guarantee a return if the error was due to the customer.
  2. If for some reason our printing partner is unable to fulfill an order we will immediately notify the customer. If there are any delays in printing, we will also immediately notify the customer so the order does not result in a non-refund status.
  3. When the order has been created and shipped, the risk of goods being damaged, perished, or stolen passes onto the buyer. The Moon Joy will not be liable for products damaged or lost by the shipping company but please contact us if you experience this issue. It is our aim to make our customers happy and receive the poster of their special day.
  4. Our posters are designed and customized by the user on so there is no right for a refund if the design is not due to the standards of the customer/purchaser. In such a case this order is not eligible for a return.
  5. If shipping information was incorrectly inputted into the system by the customer at order creation, this will result in an order not be eligible for a return for such reasons as a delay in shipment, etc.

Shipping detail, returns and right of withdrawal

  1. Once you have confirmed the order via pressing the “add to cart” or “place order” or alike buttons, shipping information such as address or name cannot be changed. In the case of an issue with the order please contact us as soon as possible at ( In these rare cases, we are not responsible for notifying the customer but will do our best to resolve said cases. There are no rights to the customer in dispute over products that were given an incorrect address. We will investigate on a case by case basis these claims.
  2. will review replacement products within 28 days of an order. If there are quality issues, damage, or missing product we will replace the product with new product of the same order. In these cases, the additional costs need to be paid by the customer for return shipping and replacements.
  3. Since every product is individually made once the order is placed there is no right of withdrawal.
  4. A note about quality: there will be times where your print may differ slightly than what is presented in the moon phase calculator. For example, some colors or text may come out slightly darker and bolder than what is displayed on the moon calculator. Coloring can change between devices and display settings. By ordering a product with, you are agreeing that you acknowledge this and products attempting to be returned for such reasons may not be eligible for a return. We guarantee a high-quality product, however nuances in colors is not up to our control as every individual may have a different device they view their prospective order on.


  1. offers delivery to both the US and certain international countries. The customer is responsible for the cost of delivery unless stated otherwise. Delivery costs are additional unless stated otherwise and delivery costs will usually be included in the price of the product. In rare cases, however, we reserve the right to additionally charge in case there are added costs for the location of a customers delivery. All of our rates are on our checkout page.
  2. cannot guarantee any date of delivery. The Moon Joy is not accountable for delays in the delivery of the product or if it has been delivered after a certain date. Our shipping estimates are based on our printing partner. We reserve the right to notify the customer if a delivery date has been changed at any time.
  3. Payment in full for the product, shipping costs, and applicable tax will entitle the customer to own the product print they have ordered.

Sales tax & Customs Duties

  1. Any customers not located in the United States of America are solely responsible to pay any sales tax for their countries. cannot be held responsible for paying that tax on orders outside the United States. Tax will be included on orders within the United States of America.
  2. Orders made by customers outside of the United States of America may be subject to pay custom duties. is not responsible for any custom duties.
